publishing projects
My relationship with words, expression and art is an inherited passion that has slowly blossomed throughout the years as the daughter of a poet and novelist and granddaughter of one of the first fiction book editors in Colombia during the 19th century. I have been passionate about publishing art and fiction books for most of my life.
The first book I edited was my father’s novel “Antesala del Paraiso” in 2012. Afterwards, I was hired as a literary agent and editor to work for Colombian independent publisher Laguna Libros, where I edited and re-edited fiction and graphic novel books. Here, I was also responsible for press work, planning events, book launches and participation in book fairs.
I have developed book projects independently, directing the whole publishing and printing process, working closely with authors and in many cases developing the editorial design and arts myself. I have also commissioned work in text writing, translation and style corrections for books, magazines, movie subtitles and other digital publications in English and Spanish.
